Adventure Guides at Beechworth Half day Gold Panning
We have ceased all prospecting tours until the Covid 19 crisis is over and governments advise us that it is safe to run this type of adventure again - Can be purchased as a gift certificate to use at a later date
NOTE That we have a minimum fee for 4 persons ($440.00)
We meet in Beechworth outside the Visitors Information Centre and then you drive with us (tag along) to the historical Woolshed Valley where we will pan for Gold (You can keep what you find) You will also hear stories about the challenges and triumphs of the Aborigines, early pioneers and gold miners.
The Woolshed Valley is not only famous as one of the Richest Alluvial fields at Beechworth but is also the location of the murder of the Kelly Gang by Aaron Sherritt which was the first stage of the famous siege at Glenrowan and also led to the final demise of Ned Kelly in Melbourne Jail in 1880
We drive in convoy from Beechworth to the Woolshed valley via the Chiltern road and Park a short distance from the panning site. From this location we walk to the creek. At the creek you will learn about using the gold pan while hearing of the history of the Valley
